4/19/11- So many dog areas to focus on, so little time. I have so much DOG related information, now stored in my brain, I am going to have to unload more of it here. I NEED THE FREE CELLS!

I have added DOG WALKING TIPS, since it continues to come to my attention how so many people misunderstand the dogs mind as well as their own.

I can hardley wait for the day when it is common knowledge that even more so than their human counterparts, dogs percieve others energy first. I will never forget the day back in 1998, that a pet sitter told me, I was indeed triggering Gus's fear. His "bad attitude" was a result of my "thoughts". For years I protested this, convinced that HE STARTED IT, and my nervous thoughts were a result of the fact that he was unstable. Thanks to Cesar Millan, I came to understand that I continued to feed this fear, by becoming "on guard" whenever Gus got near anyone. This realization was further concreted as fact for me, when I started watching Chance, my big ole luggy, Golden Retriever. Much like Cesars "Daddy" (R.I.P.), Chance has a calm, balanced, chilled out energy, that I have watched him communicate to anyone or anything that crosses his path. He can defuse the most excitable or angry dog. He's like a wet blanket to a fuse...so to speak. I attribute atleast some of that to the boy who raised him. He also has this calm assertive energy. I on the other hand, have a nervous excitable energy, which I quickly passed to my "nervous nellie" named Jack. We're a mess. ;) It's exhausting, but I have managed to channel this calm energy, specifically on walks. If i freak out in my mind, they freak out. If I am calm, they are calm. People are always commenting how "well behaved" my dogs are. Trust me, they didn't come out of the box this way. This page is dedicated to the commands and energies I have come to use after 10+ years of "dog jogging".

I have also added a Natural Remedy page to the site. It was formerly existing at the end of the recipe page, however the list has grown quite lengthy, so it deserves its own page. There really is no need for any recipes, I usually just throw all this in together. I have become quite successful at creating what I like to call, the "perfect poops". This could be big business for pooper scoopers and dog walkers, I mean there is nothing worse than attempting to get a load of diarreha into a baggy. :|

3/09/11- NEW FOCUS REVISED!! A shopping directory with links ONLY to businesses that donate a percentage of their sales to some Animal Rescue Group, from dogs and cats to Wildlife like Elephants Dolphins and Wolves! I also have added a section for Humans, as this entire new focus was inspired by humans. Eventually, this site will be a massive directory to the shops of businesses that support some rescue or support effort of life. :) Cheers!

3/01/11- NEW FOCUS of the website. HonorDogWorld.com, turns Directory! A shopping directory with links ONLY to businesses that donate a percentage of their sales to some Animal Rescue Group! I couldn't be more excited about this new focus! Not only will it provide some way to encourage others to donate, but it will be a MUCH MUCH NEEDED central point of organization for links to charitable businesses! I could never paint enough painting to generate any kind of income for the animals, i could never take enough photo graphs to help the elephants like i wanted. I search hi and low each year for places to shop that will benefit some homeless animals during the holidays. It's not an easy task finding worthy gifts that donate on the MEGA Supa HIGHWAY that is our beloved Internet! Now I just need to BLAST the WORLD with the Honor Dog address. Look for HonordogWorld on Facebook and Twitter in the coming weeks to find the latest charitable business link ads! Yay! :)

2/05/11- Wow, not really too good at this BLOG THANG! You can't see my website right now...so don't even act like you are reading my posts. hahaa. :| Gosh, its pretty bad when you are just STRAIGHT UP talking to yourself...not to mention your 38 years old and the greatest thing since popcorn right now...to you is Justin Bieber. :D That kid is amazing, if I had even the microbiolist (I know, not a word) fraction of the amount of courage that kid has, I'd be...well, I'd be able to give a powerpoint presentation to 10 people without having a total anxiety attack. :|

I have sort of figured out what this "phobia" is about. When someone looks at me with their eyes...i think I can feel, it (their concentration...or eyes on me) physically. When 10 people look at me AT THE SAME TIME I can reaaaaally feel it...i can only imagine if 10,000 people all looked at me AT THE EXACT SAME TIME the feeling would be sooo heavy and overwhelming...i'm pretty sure I would drop dead, right then and there. So....THAT means...I can never stand onstage at Madison square garden, at the focus of the audience. WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?

....i'll be back in about 5 months..haha *hopefully that is a joke.

8/3/10 - YAY! Welcome to HONOR DOG WORLD.com!

Due to the BP Oil Spill Horror.....My Pet Portrait Oil painting site formerly known as "Animals In Oils" has been changed to "Honor Dog Portraits" I can't have people looking for Oily Animals on my site, no matter how much traffice it creates...it bums me out. :( I have also added some new page links!

***R.I.P - Is where the dogs memory is honored. MAY THEY LIVE IN CYBERSPACE FOREVER!

4/17/10 - Happy Birthday to you, you belong in the ZOO, with the LIONS and the TIGERrsssssss, you BITE like one toooooooo....Happy Birthday sweet Gussy Booyyyyyyy! 16!!

Gussy was a good sport wearing his Sponge Bob birhday hat while eating his Frosty Paws Birthday dessert! His bothers and guests, enjoyed along with him.

The Birthday Boy also enjoyed a fun day at the Canine Country Club!

4.10.2010 - Jack Participated in the MS WALK on April 10th. He walked 3.5 miles with the group and didn't complain once :) He was rewarded with a necklace upon crossing the finish line, and of course I shared my Lee's Fried chicken and mashed potatoes with him. Doesn't he look happy? :)

3.25.2010 - Funny how the onset of Spring can rile ya up! I can't wait to get out into nature and take some awesome photos! I just need some models! :)

3.22.2010 - "PHOTOGRAPHY IS A HUSTLERS GAME!"

I never really thought of it like that. Perhaps photography SALES is a hustlers game? I ask myself....

Am I a hustler?

I'm inclined to say most assuredly, No, not in the least. Here's a sample of my Sales technique:

Me: Would you like to set up a photo session with you and your dog?

Potential customer: No.

Me: Okay, bye.

Yes, I agree THE worst example of a salesperson's conversation. That's not even a salesperson, that's just a short question answer session.

Truth is, I'm not in this for the sales, I'm not even in this for the money really. I'm interested in Pet Photography because pictures of owners with their dogs, enjoying life together, puts a lump in my throat, it brings a tear to my eye, it brings me more joy than I have ever imagined because it reminds me of my own bond with my dogs. A dog owner only has a short amount of time to capture the bond in photos. I simply want to ensure the bond is remembered for years to come. I'd be pretty stupid to do it monetarily for free, some may think, but what most might not realize or understand, my soul is getting paid. I'll be adding my donations links soon.

Don't get me wrong, my SALES technique comes alive whenever I speak about eating healthy, weight loss, excercise, natural remedies, barometric pressure, tight dog collars, discipline vs. reward, dog food....etc. Trust me, if you've been subject to a real discussion with me on any of these things YOU'LL BE SOLD by the end of our conversation! ;)

2.24.2010 - I love baby showers!! I just love baby items...teddy bears (ok, its mostly teddy bears) pink things, softie little shirts and cute little baby clothes. Spit up free burpie cloths and clean diapers.

The thing I love the most is the expectant mothers face when she imagines her baby in/with the gifts. :) Or in this case the expectant father also. :)

2.11.2010 - Today, I wish I had a dog under my desk. :) This is what he would see if he were under there....and no its not underwear. :| get your mind out of the gutter!

This is so funny, I can't wait to go home and try to make my dogs laugh!

I also love playful looks from the eyes! When Chance puts his head down in play, he looks out of the tops of his eyes.
